Pest control - Orkin - good results?

Has anyone hired Orkin for getting rid of rats and so forth? Have you gotten good results?

Does anyone have any other recommendations, specifically in silicon valley?

Orkin bites, at least they did for us. They wanted $300 to gingerly place one baited trap just barely up through the trapdoor into the attic, so my husband told them to get lost. We could have done that ourselves!

We then called “Animal Damage Management”, who specialize in this sort of thing. For less money, they did a very thorough and effective job - they permanently rid us of attic rats. We also called them to get rid of pigeons who were nesting in the nooks and crannies in our roof, and perching on our window ledges. They quickly took care of that problem, as well, with netting and spikes.
