About a week ago, my grandmother (who lives in an apartment upstairs) was put on new medication. My mother started her on the medicine that day. That night, my mom was in our kitchen doing the dishes and one of our dogs, King (we have three Boston Terriers, Lady, King, and Winston), out of nowhere starts barking and whining. So my mother let him out and let him back in but he just kept whining and barking. She gave up on telling him to be quiet and went to check on my grandmother. Turns out, my grandmother had a bad reaction to her new medication and had to be brought to the hospital because her blood pressure had started to drop. The minute my mother had started up the stairs King stopped barking. My grandmother could’ve died. King knew instinctively something was wrong.
Has anybody else had a experience similar to this? I always believed animals have more sensitivity to things like this but this proved it. I’d also like to hear other peoples stories about their pets saving the day.
