Believe it or not, Coldfire, that response is what made it click for me.
And I second the sentiment.
I got it right away and I’ve never heard of the puzzle before. If a smart person takes longer to get it, does this make me an idiot? :eek:
I got it my first try.
I may have seen this puzzel before though.
I have seen this puzzel before and it was how many polar bears are around the ice hole.
So, I’d seen this before and never managed to figure it out. Really. I would look and go around and around and around trying to get it.
Finally, I googled it. I don’t have the link anymore - and I wouldn’t post it anyway - but someone on some other group had posted the answer.
I think it’s stupid, but that’s probably because I feel so stupid having taken so long to get it.
I got it on the second try. Sometimes having only six active brain cells is a blessing. 
OMG! I got it the first time! I think all you smarties were trying too hard.
I don’t get it. I got the right answer once, but my logic was apparently wrong. :dubious:
I guess I’m not smart because I got it on the first try and every try after that.

I finally got it!
I got it right away, but then, there are those who would say I’ve spent FAR too much time with dice over the years.
I guessed what the rule was when I first saw the set up. Then I saw the button, started playing with it and forgot to check the damn rule. After a couple of rolls I remembered my initial thought.
