For once, I agree with you. However, it would be far more effective to send physical letters (even if you just type them in the computer and change the names) to both your state representative and senator and your Federal representative and senators. Or make some phone calls. Or both.

I think this sort of thing is important too. For the love of Pete, we can’t have another messy election without the political system of this country teetering on the verge of self destruction; all the proposed system will do is sew the seeds of doubt for the second election in a row, and not without good reason.
asterion, has a point, but your reps will respond just as well to an e-mail as a letter. I got nice letters from our state government after I e-mailed them about an issue a couple of years ago, and it was fairly obvious that someone had actually taken the time to read them.
