Ran into a link to this on Alvaro’s Comicboards.
It’s a petition to “Improve the standing of the comics industry.”
Basically, a bunch of us are unhappy with the big comics publishers for things like not advertising, hiding all their best product in obscure direct sales shops instead of trying to reach a new generation of fans on newsstands, & then when they have a shot, selling overpriced issues with little content–that aren’t even self-contained. Personally, I think it’s up to a new publisher to save the form, but maybe someone will listen.
