Can Pharmacists prescribe certain types of medication? I’m thinking in the state of Florida but any insight would be helpful.
Try Mexico-I know of no US pharmacists legal right to prescribe medicine,only dispense.
I doubt if a phamacist prescribing medicine is legal. However, one time I was having pain from a tooth that had been pulled and I had already used up the codeine I was given. A local pharmcist, who shall remain forever nameless, gave me some and then covered it by calling a physician, who trusted him implicityly, to get a prescription the next day.
Make that “implicitly.” I swear that I’m not under the influence of that codeine no matter how it looks.
Florida pharmacists may prescribe some drugs.
