I never saw a Phil Collins solo tour live. His earlier solo albums used a lot of horns and yet I don’t see a live horn section in most of the concert clips I’m watching. Were the horn sections simply reproduced from the original studio recordings? Or did he usually have a live horn section that simply isn’t usually shown on the videos?
I’ve been watching a few more videos and it seems like he used a live horn section for the largest concerts, perhaps those that were being recorded for either a CD release or broadcast.
