well written.

It was well-written but I had the opposite reaction to PSH: ten people will see that someone who had everything going for him overdosed, so what chance do they have. But I hope he is right.

I did check Hard Eight out - watched it tonight. Nice little Vegas noir, with a quiet air of menace and an interplay of darkness and light that was very effective. I liked it. PSH had a small role but did well with it.

Supposedly his heroin dealer was friendly with a lot of celebs:

I thought that was a huge part of exactly why he was so memorable in Big Lebowski and Boogie Nights. His character in each one was supposed to be slimy, creepy, unlikeable … in a way that was supposed to be hard to define or quite put your finger on the exact reasons for feeling.
