A friend of mine has a 5x9 signed photo, signed by not in perfect condition, that he wants to sell. Anyone know this photographer, how good he was or influential. Not much to be found on google. I did see one photo, 13x11, that sold at Christie’s for $2700.
How would one go about selling a photo like this, do you just walk into Christie’s and say Hey, I got a photo to sell? How much of a commission would they get? He could try ebay but has no way to value the photo.
