So I’m working in PhotoShop. Suddenly my “Define Pattern” command is permanently grayed out, no matter what document I go back into; even docs in which I’ve previously used it.
Anyone have any suggestions? Did I bump something? Halp! I’m trying to make a wallpaper pattern, so I really need it. Thanks!

I had the select tool pre-set for feather.
Nevermind.
Although, maybe you PhotoShoppers can help me with another problem: When I make changes to one layer–style changes, like bevel or drop shadow–it makes the same changes to any other layers that have such attributes turned on. Non linked layers. Can’t make it stop. Broken? Reinstall?
Clues?
