I recently reinstalled Photoshop 7. There’s a setting that I can’t seem to find. Should be the same on newer versions too.
The setting causes an active layer to have dashed lines along the edges.
When the background is white and the edges of a photo are white. It’s tough seeing when two photos (layers) are properly touching. The dashed line around the layer makes it so simple to identify the edge of the layer. I’ve always had that feature enabled.
I just can’t find that setting in preferences or View menu. I’ve forgotten the trick to turn this on. Once it’s turned on then it stays on permanently. Unless Photoshop is reinstalled.
Right now both my eyes are watering so bad that I can’t hardly see. Straining to create this collage of photos. White edges and a white background sucks. I got to walk away for awhile so my eyes quit burning.
