I was wondering what insights everyone can shed on a comprised phpbb database? What I’m most interested in is the strength of the encryption for the account info. If I understand correctly, all posts & private messages are not stored in encrypted format however individual user accounts are encrypted to some degree. But what encryption is used and how strong is it? With the db in their posession, can the hacker easilly get everyone’s password? Most people use the same password for all their net accounts and therein lies the concern.
