Piano pieces like these ones by Gonzales

Lately I have been really enjoying the solo piano work of Jason “Gonzales” Beck. I guess he’s generally known as a rap and electronic artist, but he released an album called Solo Piano in 2004 and recently made a world record for the longest solo musical performance.

Anyway, his piano music is really beautiful, and I’m wondering if anyone can recommend more pieces that sound like these.

That album’s been reviewed as 21st century Satie and I sorta agree. So, try the original. I recommend the performances by Pascal Roge. Yet I, too, am looking for similar contemporary offerings.
