Maybe the Kawai is an ES1. I bought it about ten years ago and it has been such a great electric piano. I think I paid somewhere around $1300 for it. I thought I would never want an old-fashioned piano again, but my fingers got itchy for the touch.
I still miss the old Story and Clark that I played on for the first fifteen years of my life. I’d rather have that than the pretty furniture that is coming soon.
Once I got to play the piano for a little background music for an old-fashioned melodrama on stage and for the oleo acts in between acts. They had an old upright and they put tacks on the hammers to make the sound tinny. It worked! I can see you wincing!
