Easy. Its because those gun owners get a real hard on every time they thrust a round into the smooth hard chamber and then cock their weapon.
Clear?

What? Really? I hope this is sarcasm.
I think Cartooniverse was being sarcastic. I’m pretty sure Enkel was not.
Wow. Your obsession with needle-dicks just has your post oozing with credibility.
Oh wait. That’s not credibility. You should probably see your urologist for some tests and antibiotics.
The local police have released a statement saying that there is no evidence of any illegal activity and they consider the case closed.
That should have been their position from the start. That anything came of some busybody getting their panties in a twist over a photo of a kid with a rifle is ridiculous.
Better question is why social services is scouring and trolling Facebook?
Pedophile much?
Growing up on a farm in central Illinois, I had access and permission to use a .22 and a shotgun from when I was about 13 or 14. Most of my counterparts all around the area probably did, as well. Here’s where you think I’m going to say, “…and we never shot anyone.” that wouldn’t be true. I know of four accidental shootings that happened within a mile of our home. One was near fatal when a red haired hunter creeping through a brushy area (trespassing) was mistaken for a fox by a teenager and shot behind the ear, the bullet glancing off. One kid shot himself in the leg, practicing his ‘quick draw’. Another hit another hunter in the foot when he shot at a rabbit running through the beater line crossing a field. Another killed his dog when she chased a running pheasant up out of a ditch. She crested the edge just as he shot at the bird. Etc. etc.
Guns are more dangerous in the hands of young men than in the hands of mature men. I guess we accepted a certain number of injuries and deaths as the price of our love of killing small animals.
DCPP is required by law to follow up on any allegation made. Even those left anonymously on their hotline. Sometimes they request that local law enforcement escort them depending on the circumstances. That is what appears to have happened here. Even the father’s lawyer in this case stated the police acted correctly.

•The four police officers acted professionally, they were there at the request of DYFS.

People who saw the picture called the child abuse hotline.
NJ law (which the police say was not broken) does not allow for the unsupervised use of firearms by those under 18 (21 for handguns). The law states:
Number 4 does not apply in this case since there is no rifle hunting in the state only shotgun. The family does live close to PA where it is legal.
NJ law has just about the strictest gun laws in the country including an assault weapons ban. And no laws were broken in this case.
Is this (alleged) behavior standard for a child protective services worker? Not just in this case, but in general, including in other states? I would think not, and would think that showing credentials, including picture ID with name and position, would be standard.
You guys smell that?
Smells like bullshit to me…
My issue is not that the guy has a gun.
First, any parent would be incensed that they’d been turned into CPS… but it looks like this needle-dick is familiar with CPS because that doesn’t bother him in the least.
Second, he had to run to his forum to wag his needle-dick about protecting second amendment rights because “The fight has officially been brought to [his] front door”
We have people who are and have actually fought to protect our rights. They don’t t do battle against a lady from CPS asking questions. They suffer long term separation from their families to actually serve time in actual battle zones.
So, any time I read one of these needle-dicks who have probably not served even one day in the military or even for the Federal Government wagging on about how they’ve defended our second amendment rights from the scary government employee… yup, that is a needle dick. If someone brought a real battle to his door, he’d be whizzing in his panties.
Finally, it wasn’t his second amendment right, but his forth amendment rights that were in question that night… so, if you’re gonna be a big fat patriot wagging on about how you stood up to the big mean old government, at least quit paying (right! like the attorney hasn’t just jumped into this for free to get press!) an attorney who also doesn’t know the difference between second and fourth amendment rights.
And, I’ll admit, that I believe that small dicks cause men to do stupid stuff and any time I hear someone start prattling on about their rights… I assume they have a small dick and not enough money to compensate with a sports car, so they buy guns instead.
Again, without a video… the only person saying this happened is the guy who’s posting to his buddies on that forum where he is some sort of hero for having CPS called in on his kid.
For all anyone knows, CPS got a report of an AUTOMATIC weapon. We don’t know if CPS could see the picture in question (the picture could be marked as private for only needle-dick’s friends). So, if someone who claimed to know weapons (and I’m sure all of needle-dicks buddies all weapons experts, dontchaknow) said the picture posted was an AUTOMATIC weapon in the hands of a 10yo that may be all they had to go on.
What exactly can “happen that fast”? Child services responding to a report? Somehow, I don’t think that’s what he meant.
That’s enough of that, Enkel. No more of this insulting, name-calling language. Get your point across without characterizing gun owners as “needle-dicks.”
Nothing did come of it. Or rather, what came of it is exactly what we as a society want to happen: a possible situation was identified and investigated. No one’s legal rights were abused or compromised.
The problem is with ridiculous and hysterical rhetoric, like these gems from the father, Shawn Moore:
Actually, Mr. Moore, this showed that you are safe in your own home, that they can’t just show up at any time and make you open safes and go through your house, and so it’s pretty much exactly the opposite of tyranny.
No going back? Hell, with people who think like this and perceive events this way, there’s been no going forward (on a lot of things) for decades now.
the problem I have is that there doesn’t seem to have been a “possible situation” in the first place. Certainly nothing that justified social workers getting involved, especially not with multiple police escorts. Guns are just the big spooky thing right now so there are a bunch of busybody ninnies out there who appoint themselves social guardians and report stuff like this 'cos they just have to “do something.”
