Did I ever tell you I met Chris Mullin once when he came to pick up my old neighbor for a date?
About 9 years ago. He was wearing a Warriors shirt, drove a bronco or some-such, and had an Akita dog. I was out front with my dog and daughter and I said, “Hey, you look like that Warriors guy, Chris Mullins.”
He laughed and said, “Yea, that’s me allright.”
I thought he was being sarcastic, and we chatted for a few minutes while his date got ready and our dogs sniffed each other. My hubby pulled up a few minutes later, and came over. Chris put his hand out and said, “Hi, I’m Chris Mullin.” Incredulously, I said, “No you’re not”. My husband said, “yes he is”. My face turned red. We all laughed.
They left for their date.
He married someone else a few months later.
