Pictographic sight rhymes

In English we have something called sight rhymes, which do not rhyme when said out loud, but look like they rhyme by the way they are spelled, such as slaughter and laughter. This is sometimes used to literary effect in poetry or other prose.

Is there a similar technique in pictographic / hieroglyphic written creative works (Chinese/Japanese/Egyptian/Cuneiform/etc?) Where words that are arbitrarily similar in the way they are drawn are used in parallel to some literary effect?

Willing even to accept examples in English or other non pictographic alphabets in which the “rhyme” is based on the form of the letters and not just their combination / order.
