I want to clue PIERS as Sci-fi author Anthony, with maybe a title or something in parentheses. A similar clue would be Sci-fi author Asimov (“I Robot”).

twickster, in his books he talks a lot about very young girls and “their cute little noses” and “cute little bottoms” and this and that. It wouldn’t normally bother me, except it distracts terribly away from the reading. It is really annoying.
“Xanth” – his long-running, mostly unreadable puns ‘n’ fantasy series.
I’m not aware of any pedophilia in his work; he’s got a strange fascination for the imaginings of the sexually innocent, but I think that a combination of: (a) his obsessive personality, which causes him to write pages of dialogue about stuff that interests no one else; (b) his fascination with his own children, whom he dotes (doted) on; and © his vanity, which inflates in his mind his real gifts (he “gets” kids, but not as much as he thinks, and he writes well for his market, but not as well as he thinks).
Remember, his protagonists are usually prepubescent or barely pubescent boys (sometimes girls), and he imagines that he’s cleverly contrasting their burgeoning sexual curiosity and their complete sexual cluelessness in an innocent and humorous way. Also, he writes those Xanth books for young readers, and he imagines that that’s what they want.

Damn your eyes. I just opened this thread to post that. The man writes to a SCHEDULE. I guess he figures that any output, no matter how crappy, is better than no output.
Anthony started way back when writing softcore porn and martial arts novels (anyone remember Jason Striker, Master of Martial Arts?) in conjunciton with Roberto Fuentes. His early SF wasn’t all that great, but I like the Xanth series and the Incarnations. Phase got boring, Bio started out boring.
I would suggest cluing him as Fantasy author Anthony (Xanth, Incarnations of Immortality)
