Why is the sport of ping pong dominated by Asians? Do Asian people have quicker reflexes than other races?
IMHO it’s because Asians take ping-pong more seriously than westerners…
Doesn’t some Scandinavian country have good tennis table players as well or was that badminton?
It’s all just a matter of what people like. In China, the country is so big that the country is respectable in nearly every Olympic sport, with the most notable exception being some of the winter sports like Alpine skiing.
Yes, Sweden has been very strong for a while. The Olympic silver medalist in the men’s singles is Swedish. An Austrian reached the quarter-finals this year. The men’s doubles bronze went to a team from France. In the last four olympics, Germany and Yugoslavia have also medaled.
