Pit thread for Martin_Hyde {He has been BANNED}

Cool! Now off to the work of convincing those that think well regulated means something far less, shall we say, ‘regulating’ than what it meant at the time.

This isn’t a serious post. The idea of “unlimited” deaths is beyond stupid.

Another mass shooting in Tulsa, think you helped kill any kids this time, Martin?

If you think I disagree with Justice Scalia on the grammatical structure of the second amendment in Heller… you think wrong.

~Max

Thankfully this mass murder gets us closer to that upper limit of dead children Martin will happily trade for pew pews.

Folks, don’t misconstrue Martin_Hyde. It won’t take unlimited deaths of children. He guessed it would take at least 4-5x more mass shooting deaths than we have now, or however much that mass shootings cause the majority of homicides.

~Max

It appears that you have stepped back from “lies” (in this post), at least.

Good for you! I guess.

Now, don’t you misconstrue him either Max_S. He left himself plenty of wiggle room, saying that the death rate could go “much, much higher”. So if things go absolutely bonkers and gun death rates quadruple over the next five years, don’t you dare try to play gotcha games with him.

He is one of the board’s more prominent racist morons.

Hmmm…

Let’s continue to hone in on how many deaths you meant when you said:

I also firmly want it understood—I am 100% willing to trade more deaths for gun rights.

So we’ve determined that “Unlimited” is, according to you “beyond stupid”.

And Max_S has found a post in which you guessed

probably 4-5x higher than we have now, maybe even more soat the very least mass shootings would need to represent responsibility for a majority of homicide deaths in America, and even then, it will likely have to be much, much higher .

So the amount of gun deaths you’d be willing to trade is somewhere between 4-5 times what we have now (or much much higher) and unlimited (which is beyond stupid)

Just trying to get a handle on how many deaths of complete and utter strangers you’d be OK with. It seems like a pretty variable number of deaths.

Feel free to call me a liar again, if you’d like.

Like I said–this isn’t a gun rights thread, there is no capacity to have a serious discussion in a pit thread. I won’t engage on that.

Awww.

No, it’s not a gun rights thread and no one, short of a few side discussions, was intending it to be a serious discussion. It’s a pit thread about you. And, more specifically it was started due to a statement you made in a thread dedicated to the political side of a school shooting. Naturally, there’s a lot of gun-rights talk as people are discussing gun-rights related things you’ve said.

You keep saying that. I do not think it means what you think it means.

If you won’t even discuss how many shooting deaths you’d be OK with in order to keep your guns, then I guess I can go back to using the term “unlimited”. Since you have defined no limits.

And you can call me a liar again, or pound your little fists together, or whatever gives you sufficient pleasure.

I mean you can post whatever you want, they all just get lumped in with your countless lies and stupidities already posted. Like i said, this isn’t a gun discussion thread.

No, it’s a thread about what an unrepentant, amoral asshole you are.

Thanks for your contributions to the proof.

Hey, 4 more victims to add to your tally of folks that died to protect your right to own a killing machine. I guess you can type with one hand while you do whatever with the other.

233rd mass shooting of the year. But, hey - fuckem, you probably don’t know them anyway, right?

June 2, 2022 being the 153rd day of the year.

And if only there were one, single, solitary thing that was unfailingly common to absolutely 100% of every single shooting. One thing that we could focus our energy on. Mental heath issues of the shooter? Home or family life? Bullied at school? Video games/TV/movies? “Culture”?
There must be something that we could isolate and pin the blame on? Something that, even if it’s not the root cause, removing it from the equation would have the potential to so drastically change the landscape of mass shootings that, instead of wondering whether or not there’s been more mass shootings or days in the year so far, they’d be back to an anomaly.

I believe you’re thinking of “unarmed teachers.” We need to remove that factor.

Not only will it make the schools safer, but since guns are a fUNdameNTal RIghT it’s actually an expansion of liberties!
