The show “Pitchmen” on Discovery Channel follows pitchman Anthony Sullivan as he discovers new products and pitches them on TV. Many of the products he pitches are inventions made by ordinary people. For example, one show was about an ordinary woman who made an easy threading sewing needle. Sullivan Productions then created a commercial for the needle and had the commercial shown on TV.
Does anyone know what sort of deal the inventor gets when they team up with a production company like that? Do they get a certain percentage of the revenue? A fixed payout? A set of Ginsu knives and a Magic Bullet?
