Where else can you copy material?
From here? Fucking idiot.
Desmo, have you not been getting fucked lately?
I tried copying from myself once, but got all confused about attribution.
You mean other than copying a snippet for a cite? I have never copied material from elsewhere and posted it as my own. I may have rephrased material that I’ve read and agree with, but everyone does that. The closest I ever came to copying material was to post a bulleted list from an official CPA press release on Iraq. This was totally fair because A) the press release was in the public domain, and B) I didn’t just cut and paste it anyway - I wrote the message in my own words, simply repeating the bulleted points.
I think you are confusing the constant refrain that I ‘repeat Republican talking points’ for plagairism. And I do repeat Republican talking points sometimes - just as Democrats on this board repeat Democrat talking points. I find it weird that I get criticized for this. If John Kerry puts out a press release claiming that Bush did X, you know there will be a thread about it soon. And no one accuses the participants of ‘repeating Democratic talking points’.
Apparently, Reagan is residing in hell. Who said Reagan bashing was solely a liberal activty?

Quite the misnamed .jpg, no?

I like how the losers holding the surprisingly subtle “No Left Turn” and “No Turn on Red” signs won’t even show their cowardly faces.
Typical.
Good 'un.
You mean the Phelps clan actually went through with it? I’ll be damned-I’m surprised they didn’t end up in the ER.
Who knew Fred Phelps and Larry Kramer would ever share the same sentiments?
Reagan has just issued a press release from hell:
Desmo, I’m just as confused as to your point as Sam is. Like him, I’m missing the reprehensibility factor here.
We cite facts; I’ve never been aware of the need to cite the source of an argument, unless it’s such a deep argument that its originator’s insight deserves credit. But if it’s the usual ‘somebody else made this argument somewhere else’ sorta thing, then citing the source of the argument is optional. If someone, be it Sam or myself or whoever, is able to put the argument in their own words and defend it with their own mental resources, it’s that person’s argument, for purposes of debate here at the SDMB.
