I don’t know for sure, but I could totally imagine suffering extreme emotional upset at receiving an email like that. I can’t image most people not suffering it.

@Max_S , I am not here to mock you. I am addressing you, as one smartass who likes to win arguments to another. You have a choice you can make. Do you want to be an asshole who argues unpopular positions on the internet to see if you can “win” the argument, or do you want to be a compassionate human being?
This is not a one-and-done choice. It’s a choice you can make and re-make every day. But to be a compassionate human being, you need to think about other people, not just about how clever your argument is. You need to develop empathy for people who aren’t exactly like you, and have different life experiences. I believe you can do this. And I urge you to try. Maybe not right here, right now, today. But think about it. Think about what kind of person you want to be. Practice being the person you want to be. You don’t have to stop being a smartass to do it, you just need to reflect on where you are blind to others, and exercise your underused empathy.

Even if I wasn’t feeling like a target of them or the sender, the KKK is an awful, evil organization for all of it’s existences and guises.
