I find Max a little tedious, but not really worth the acrimony. He’s intelligent and appears knowledgeable.
I read his posts, I occasionally learn something. That’s kind of what we are all here for, right? To learn.
The problem is that if you read something Max posted and believe him, you might be gaining ignorance, not knowledge. That’s the opposite of what (at least most of us) are here for, I assume that applies to you too.

I take many posters with a little pinch of salt.
People like @Stranger_On_A_Train need no pinch, they are erudite, knowledgable and well respected for this.
Max is well educated and can often support his arguments. However, he needs that pinch of salt, in my opinion.
He’s not wrong very often, in my opinion (engage your salt shaker now), but he does belabour the point very often. That’s just poor debate style, IMHO.
