Pitting my immature peers

In the past month, my school has had three bomb threats. One of the threats was in the form of a note reading “bomb @ 2, kill all niggers”. We have also had a threat of a shooting. And I’m sick of it. Look, assholes, you’re adults. Grow the fuck up. Racism and terroristic threats are not funny. But you just don’t get it, do you?

Of course not. This is the same group that celebrates the end of the year with stinkbombs, arson, smokebombs, and vandalism. Not just vandalizing the school, but spray-painting their year of graduation on street signs, roads, and buildings. Whoa, you graduated. Way to go. I’m sure you’re very excited. But there are better ways to express your excitement than vandalism.

Maybe if the kids had more pride in their school, there wouldn’t be as many of these problems. But it’s hard to be proud of this shithole. Last year, a student in my civics class had a bloody nose in March. A pool of blood, in all its crusty glory, was never cleaned. It was still there on the last day of school in June. The ceilings are water damaged. There are burn marks on the walls from posters destroyed by fire. The bathrooms reek of pot, smoke detectors are burnt, mirrors disappear, tiles are cracked, and the walls are vandalized. This is my third year at this school, and peeling paint on the walls remains, even after an entire new addition to the school was built. Most permanent surfaces are covered in a disgusting grime, never to be removed by our sorry two person custodial staff. I could go on, but I’m sure you get the point. My school building sucks.

Then there’s the rampant homophobia. There was a recent editorial in the school paper from an openly gay student talking about former students who told him that they were so afraid of being physically assaulted that they feared people even thinking they were gay. Attempting to insult someone by calling them gay or a fag is a common occurance. I hear students talking about how they would kill someone they know is a gay. One student said that if he were president, he would have all gays killed. One of my friends, who is straight, is currently being verbally assaulted on a daily basis by those who believe he is gay.

I’m sick of intolerant assholes assaulting people for being gay. I’m sick of bomb threats. I’m sick of the crappy condition of our building, the vandalism, the arson, all of it. It’s disgusting.

But these are the best years of your life, cheddarsnax!

And I thought my school sucked ass.

Perhaps the above could become a letter to the editor to a few local newspapers?

Two words: Hard Copy.

Won’t someone think of the children?

I think you will have to: deal with it.

On a lighter note, here in Memphis, TN we had four (4) high school students throw a concrete block thru a school office window and follow up with a fire bomb thing, whatever, that started a fire.

Then, they parked across the street in a parking lot to watch.
This was at something like 2 AM so guess what, the cops checked them out and arrested them. (Found many drugs in their car)

One of their parents, on the news yesterday, said that they were very sorry about what happened and when they “came down” were devastated by what they had done. I liked that.

You know, county, your post would have been just as effective if you had just left this out:

Must you be such an asshole?

I think it’s genetic for this guy.

Reminds me of my high school. You’ll just have to survive that shithole for a little while longer and then you never, ever have to go back. Stay strong.

Haj

I hate to agree with him, but he’s right. The only opition is to deal with it and graduate. Teenagers will be just what they are: teenagers. That means they will be stupid, lazy, immature, ect. Nothing is going to change that. You could perhaps petion to get the school a bit of a clean-up or write to the school paper, but if your school system is like the one’s down here in alabama, it probably won’t do much good.

But, I do wish you the best of luck, and it will be over soon

cheddersnax, you should write an editorial in your school paper and send a copy to your local newspaper. Really. School is your job, and no one should have to work in a shithole.

Good luck.

Oddly enough, my college (Full Sail) had a bomb threat the other night, had to evac the schools and whatnot. What fun… oh wait, it sucked and waisted a lot of time…

Thank you asshole who called in. (Unless of course it was someone who thought someone might be up to no good and just trying to help)
