I’ve got to look into something like this locally. It sounds like it could be really nice (depending, I guess on the group you are with - just like work!)
It doesn’t meet on as regular a schedule as would be ideal for me (sometimes a couple weeks in a row, sometimes skipping several weeks. Sometimes evening, sometimes afternoon.) But otherwise it’s great.
The ones who didn’t aren’t going to reply.
And I think most of us know someone who didn’t survive.

Only good thing he ever did as POTUS was help get vaccines done quickly so by the time I got Covid, I was vaccinated and it was mostly just a week of one of the worst illnesses I’ve ever had. Of course I’m not in the high risk group to start with thank God.

Trump diddled while COVID burned
Trump got vaccinated while COVID burned.
We made 100 pounds of pulled chicken, chopped some large bins of peppers and onions, plus a could large bunches of scallions, and made 16 trays of corn bread. Tomorrow, other volunteers will make a sauce and probably other stuff, and on Tuesday yet other volunteers will pack and freeze individual meals to be distributed.
We started with separate teams on the chicken, veggies, and cornbread, but eventually the chicken and cornbread were cooked, and the veggies chopped, and it became all hands on deck pulling the chicken. (Plus, there’s always a lot of washing and sanitizing going on.)
Trump got COVID. So did Melania. Dumbasses.
