Apparently according to Manzoor, the healthier Jews called the emaciated Jews in the concentration camps muslims, thereby slurring the muslims.
He goes on to say that the zombie like emaciated Jews did not have the moral backbone of a proper muslim. This of course explains what Jihad is all about.
Now I’ve attempted research to verify the term “Muselmänner” through Polish, German, Yiddish and English dictionaries. Dictionary.com suggested I try the “archaic” term “mussulman” with roots in the Turkish language for Muslim. At the moment, I’m unsure of the veracity of the claim that emaciated concentration camp Jews were called muslims. At any rate, quoting from Manzoor’s article.
Okay, I guess that means the European Jews are the ultimate islamophobes and we need to prove it.
Intrinsically Islamophobic ? Wow. And to think that Muslims had a stake at Auschwitz ?
Well now we know who are the true victims of the holocaust.
Well there you have it. Never mind the “no true Scotsman” stipulation, a Muslim would never sink as low as a Jew. And that is why we have Jihad.
In summary,
What a bunch of bigoted crap. What worries me is that this guy is getting press on Islamic sites.
The term musselman arose in the death camps in a different context as identified in this recent GQ thread. Manzoor is just engaging in the sort of silly rhetoric that any number of polemecists employ when trying to use folk etymology to make their points to an audience that may be ignorant of the actual etymology. (It is pretty much in line with invented histories for "rule of thumb, “law and order,” “squaw,” or the word “socialist” appearing in the official name of the NDSAP.)
Would have been fine, I suppose. Did you fear the reference was too obscure? Trust me on this, there is no subject so arcane that there aren’t at least 6 Cecilians ready to jump all over it…
Hey! We agree on something! Has anyone had the misfortune of dealing with a Cecilian when you can’t cover a losing wager? They’ll jump all over you in a heartbeat!
OK, OK, I admit “enough joking already!” is clearly indefensible. You got me there. And, as Crotalus points out, “we all agree that …” is pretty much a pipe dream. Ain’t never gonna happen. But by golly, “the best pizza is Cecilian-style” is a self-evident truth. My pizza is my cite!
