'Pizza Pie' Is NOT Redundant!

Negative. A set can contain 0 to infinite elements.

A television set of zero televisions is still a television set.

Do you have a cite for the claim that “a television set is different from a television”? I was under the impression that “television set” (or “set” for short, as in “Do not adjust your set”) was synonymous with “television” (the device, as opposed to television the medium).

Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary gives the 22nd definition of the noun “set” as “an apparatus of electronic components assembled so as to function as a unit a television set.”

I prefer my pizza as a cobbler.

Nah. No one takes a poll to make sure it’s no one else’s favorite before saying “personal favorite”. “My favorite” would suffice to distinguish it from “My Mom’s favorite” or “a favorite of nerds everywhere”.

My opinion: “pizza pie” definitely is redundant, but it’s so commonly used that pointing out the redundancy is pointless, even dickish.
