pizzelle & waffle makers inefficient

From what I understand, pizzelle makers are used for making homemade ice cream cones.

However it seems to me quite inefficient. Sort of like making one cupcake at a time, instead of a complete pan of cupcakes at a time. For that matter, I think waffle makers are also time-consuming.

Now, how about a machine that makes alot of waffles at a time, or alot of sugar cones or cups at a time. Especially choco-flavored ones. If there were such a machine, I might consider buying it.

Just one more fantasy…

I work at a TCBY. We used to make our own waffles cones when I worked there in high school. But now, two years later, after begging for my shitty job back because no one else in this town would hire me, we get them packaged and sent to us. It’s not too much more efficient, really, because about half of every box is broken. And they taste bad. Kinda stale–I’m sure they are, really.

I miss making them.

you can only make one cone at a time really, unless you have some huge automated thing going.

see, you have to wrap the pizelle over the shaper thing before it cools off. if you wait too long, they wont curl.

but, the pizzelles cook rather quickly, once you get going.

the only problem I find with such appliances is that they end up as novelties. you use them once or twice and then never again.

True, but if there were a machine that made a bunch at once, then it would be more worth the “sweat” cuz I’d have more for the same sweat.

In such a case I don’t think it would be a novelty, i.e. I wouldn’t use it only once/twice.
