Looked like lower elevation to the right he could have eased over to right after takeoff???
Not using all available tricks to improve lift but I’m unsure about a few things on that model Stinson.

No such thing as an air pocket. Please don’t say that in an aircraft thread.
Under low or no wind conditions, the air will be slightly cooler and more apt to be descending than adjoining open grass field air. No idea of wind conditions on that takeoff but…
