Planes, Trains and Automobiles appreciation thread

I think that those two are great for the comedy part, but they couldn’t pull off the softer moments.

I think Farley could have. I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I do think Farley was capable of more depth than he was asked for.

I can’t pick number 1.

Maybe from :32-:37

Maybe Owen’s face while trying to hawk up a loogie etc. And then of course the dog at 4:18.

“Larry Bird doesn’t do as much ball-handling in one night as you do in an hour!”

Great movie. Most of my favorite lines have been covered.

I also like the scene where the car gets wedged between two semi’s going the opposite direction and Martin and Candy keep glancing at each other and in one of the glances, Candy is made up to look like the devil.

I love that shot. Doing that entire setup, (the sparks, the moving truck against the window) and then doing the whole costume change with different hair and makeup for like 15 frames of Candy in that get up is really hysterical to me.

“You stole it”

(looks incredulously down the empty road)

“HE STOLE IT”

The skeletons are a nice touch as well.
