Planning out asset protection early

Thank you everyone, a ton of great advice in here.

I had another somewhat related question. I know in certain states, ones house can be seized to satisfy a judgment. I believe California is one of these states. Is there any persay “legal way” around this. Obviously, I do not have a home now, but hope to have one in the future once I am married and such.

Yes, there is a homestead exemption in California, but according to Code it is only $75,000, or $100,000 if another family member lives with you in the home, unless certain other conditions (over age 65, disabled, etc.) are met. Florida is considered a haven from judgments because it has no limit on the size of the homestead exemption.
