Awhile back I heard about a process that was being used to waterproof clothes which was using plasma to coat the material in a (IIRC) “One molecule thick layer of plasma”.
So i have two questions, the first is what actually is plasma? AFAIK or as far as i have believed it is a gas with the electrons stripped off. My second is whatever became of this process? Are we to soon be seeing plasma coated clothing in shops? Coulld one plasma coat anything?

Plasm is any matter with no electrons.
So it’s plasma when it goes on, but it doesn’t remain as plasma.
Organics like teflon are trickier to deposit than metals, as you have to control the temperature more carefully. Still, it is an industrialized process.
