My son has CP and I am trying to help him turn some game shark codes on. These codes are for Star Wars Masters and after I entered them, there is a note to enable the codes then turn the shark off and save the codes to memory card. How do I do this?
Doesn’t anybody know?

I found the codes you spoke of (Here, if they have some you don’t know), and I think I know what they mean. (I admit it’s a little cryptic.
Alright, turn on the game with a memory card in there, and with the gameshark on. Do what you gotta do to enter a code for the gameshark. (I’ve never used one, don’t know that processsure hope you do.)
Entering that code, I think, should make it so that you can access all the characters in the game. Having done this, turn off the gameshark. (There should be a switch on the gameshark somewhere; if you don’t know where it is, read the manual.)
Now, after having turned off the gameshark, I’m assuming you still have access to all the characters. Now do whatever it is you have to do to save a game. If you don’t know, your son might. If he doesn’t, look at the manual for the game, or just putz around the menus until you find it. Save it, then reset.
Upon starting the game, I think you should have access to all the characters. I don’t know how this game works; if it automaticly loads a save (some fighters do), or if you have to select one to load. If you have to select a game to load, do so.
That’s about as good as I can do having never used a gameshark.
If that still doesn’t work, or if I’m not helping any, post a message here, and ask if they can help you.
A more likely explanation:
- Flip on the Gameshark
- Turn on the Playstation
- Go through the coding process. Select the Star Wars game, then choose to add a new code, then make sure the code is highlighted green instead of gray; that means the code is selected. Hit “return” until you have a choice to “start game using selected codes” or whatever.
- Now, start the game normally
- Play a little while, and as soon as the game gives you an opportunity to auto save or “overwrite memory card,” definitely, definitely choose yes
- From now on, you should be able to access the new characters whether or not you have the Gameshark flipped on
(Video games themselves are the real cheaters.)
