Please be considerate with spoilers
Personally, I agree that a spoiler warning or a spoiler tag is a courteous thing to include. However, I never click on threads about movies I haven’t seen or books I haven’t read, simply because there is a good chance of finding a spoiler, either in the OP or in one of the replies to the OP. So, while everything mentioned in the OP is true, I would also recommend not clicking a thread without a spoiler warning, just to be safe.

By the way, if we all talk inside spoiler tags, is that like whispering or something? It’s kind of strange, don’t you think?
And please, please, please do not put spoilers (even the mildest sort) in the dang thread title.

You would think that would go without saying.

But you would be wrong.

You people are nuts! Talking in spoilers…oops…heeheehee!

testing!

It’s also nice that the message board tells you that there is a spoiler. There’s another message board where “spoilers” are simply text in the same color as the background, which becomes visible when you highlight it. Not only did I not see the contents, it took me a while to figure out that there was anything to see.

PS Re that Wuthering Heights thing: that’s not how I remember it. Perhaps you are referring to the movie? (You were referring to Wuthering Heights, right? I suppose you could have been talking about the comic strip  ).

The Titanic sinks at the end of the movie!

No, serious, this is a real spoiler (about The Sixth Sense, The Others and I Know What You Did Last Summer):
Please be very careful, consider that just mentioning something like “at the end you will discover everything” or “you will explain everything” is as suspicious as saying “Dr. Crowe is dead, too” or “They were the real ghosts”.

The only fact of knowing there is a twisted end may drive to spoil the plot by one self. Some friend drove me once to imagine the end of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” just by telling me: “four kids, in a car, run over a guy and kill him, well, they don’t kill him…” without telling me the end, he accidentally ruined the surprise for me. Luckily that movie didn’t worth my care.
Another request. If you use the spoiler tag, please preview. Nothing like having the spoiler box not appear because you spelled it “spioler”.
