(I wasn’t sure whether to put this here or in GQ, so if it’s in the wrong forum, please move it.)
My mother got a forwarded e-mail from a relative of ours this morning. He claims that an aid shipment en route to Sri Lanka from Israel was refused because the Sri Lankans did not want to accept aid from Israel. There was no cite attached to the e-mail; Snopes doesn’t have anything.
Does anyone have any cite that this is true, or can anyone refute it? In times of major crisis, I’d like to think that most governments can be trusted to behave responsibly and take aid from wherever they can get it.
