All I can remember is that it was a book where grandparents are telling a little girl what her parents were like when they were little. The illustrations show the little girl imagining her parents as adults doing these things- one example was her father sitting in a shopping cart and throwing a tantrum.
It probably would have been the early 1980s when I was reading this book, though I don’t know if it was a new book then or not.
I’d like to get a copy of this book now, but my google-fu has not been sufficient to find it. Can anybody help?
