" prefer to use a natural or beige thread, or a color that matches one of the fabrics, myself. That invisible thread (comes in two invisible colors, clear and dark) is too stiff for my liking. "
I agree. I always use a neutral color for quilting. The invisible thread is too… uh… boring. I haven’t used it for beading though. My eyes are too out of focus to handle doing beading!!!
I agree with you completely. What I would like to know is why did Lynn “disappear” the thread instead of removing the link???
It’s obvious to any reasonable observer that the thread’s purpose was NOT to sell your wares. Lynn made a mistake and now she’s too stubborn to admit it, instead getting all annoyed over the fact that I didn’t bold her name
I wonder that myself. I’ve seen a number of threads pointing to OpalCatproducts, or some scheme to make money. Not to mention the number of threads she starts advertising her art shows -which, in case you don’t know, are places people BUY art.
If OpalCat can consistently do it, why can’t Amazon Floozy Goddess?
It makes me wonder if OpalCat has something over the SDMB or Lynn Bodoni.
Not to speak for nyctea scandiaca, who has already responded anyway, but it seemed to me that what they did was perfectly consistent. When making use of the full username “Amazon Floozy Goddess”, it was bolded, but when addressing you by your real life first name “Lynn” (I believe it’s not you’re real real life first name, from something you posted in a recent thread, but close enough), it was not bolded. Makes sense to me, it’s something I would consider doing myself, if I felt I “knew” a poster well enough to address them in a thread by their real life name. Because I don’t post a huge amount and therefore don’t feel this way about any poster, I follow my own convention of always posting (and bolding) the full username.
Best example of a rhetorical question I’ve seen in a while :).
