Please help me find this comic about running.

I saw this comic online once but for the life of me can’t remember the name or the artist. It was simple line drawings and the first panels showed a man running with his dog. The second last panel shows the man going out without the dog (implying that it’s Race Day) and the dog has a thought-balloon with a little broken heart above his head. Then the last panel shows the dog sitting in front of the TV happily cheering on his person as he runs Boston (or something.)

Does anybody recognize this?

Could it be something in the Mutts comic strip? Here’s the characters. Do they look likely?

Thank you but no, it wasn’t Mutts - it was a webcomic I believe, not widely known. I think the entire premise of the comic was based on running but I could be mistaken.

I can see it in my mind but finding it IRL is like looking for a needle in a haystack!
