Yeah, me too. This is weird! All over the world there is only one street with a 2415 with a restaurant? Huh?

Thanks to all who have participated. There’s no need for new entries, if you happen to read this post before following the instructions in the OP.

Mission BBQ, a fast food-style chain last night, because we had driven eight hours and were looking for something quick and close. Tonight it was the other end of the spectrum: the House of Cards, a very upscale downtown restaurant with table-side magicians and a magic show several times a night. It was great fun and the food was excellent. The prices are high, but taking the entertainment into account, the evening was a good deal. (Except for the parking, near the restaurant, but not associated with it, which was $30 for four hours!)

Good point. We are currently conducting an experiment on that topic by talking, in the presence of our devices, about unusual subjects entirely unrelated to us that we haven’t in any way written about online, at Web sites, in e-mail, etc. So far the results are negative. To which my wife replies, “Maybe they’re on to us.”

FYI, here’s a podcast about the common perception that “Facebook is listening to us.” It touches on the advanced technology that makes this apparent magic happen, and provides plausible explanations for the perceived coincidences, even though the hosts don’t seem entirely to accept them as the truth.

I’m disappointed that they didn’t find a technologist who could have explained how completely unlikely it is (IMHO) that all our devices (especially cell phones, whose data use is closely monitored) could be listening to us all the time and sending back data for this purpose without it being detected by anyone.

Same as snfaulkner and most other people.

I think it must just be the most commonly searched “item” that begins with 2415. Even after just typing “2415” and then a space in google, the first suggested “fill” is 2415 mcgavock pike

Posted without reading any other psots here.

I only got one response through autocomplete:
