Please help with movie quote

Walking to the train this a.m., a dim recollection of a movie quote popped into my head. Something along the lines of:

“Sometimes you just have to push yourself back from the smorgasboard of life and say ‘No more jello for me, mom!’”

I believe it occurred at the end of a rant, but I can’t remember the actor or the movie. Any help out there? I seem to recall that my buds and I found this a pretty hilarious, multi-purpose observation we frequently injected into our converstaion.

That’s from Peggy Sue Got Married. When Peggy is talking to the mysterious guy (I can’t think of his name, Michael something I think).

Oh yeah. He was the sensitive poet guy. Thanks. Only saw the flick once, when it first came out, and thought it somewhat entertaining but no great shakes. Funny how one line like that can stick with you.
