Years ago, on some cable channel, I saw a brief clip from a color film from about the sixties or so. In this clip, a man is talking to another man while looking at a stone sculpture of a woman reclining with her eyes closed. The face is smeared with some red substance (probably not blood since the mood was one of fascination, not horror.) After this there is a jump to a scene with a belly dancer rising out of low mist,dancing while she does this. Any ideas?
Not sure why, but “I Love You, Alice B Toklas” jumped into my head. Don’t think that’s it though.
