Please identify this Broadway/movie tune

Broadway and movie mavens, please help. I’m trying to get the lyrics to a great song that’s on the tip of my brain. It’s an upbeat tempo number and the lyrics go something like this:

“Wherever I go, whatever I do … I’ll take the high road.”

I don’t think it’s the Loch Lamond poem from Scotland? This was definitely put to music, perhaps as a musical. Was it Dick VanDyke who sang this? :smack:

As for this “high road” of yours, I think that’s a different song…

Many thanks.

I think the “high road” reference is to another song. Something about “You take the high road and I’ll take the low…”

Or maybe that’s a Fox network sitcom.
