I realize that I find eastern culture very interesting, and I know plenty of Eastern fellows at my school.
does anyone know of an online resource that features documentaries or other such resources to lean about Eastern culture? I’m specifically interested in India, China and Japan, but I’m open to whatever.

The first thing that you need to realize is India, China and Japan are three pretty different cultures. It really doesn’t make sense to lump them together like that.
That out of the way, I can’t recommend general resources, but I can recommend Huston Smith’s book “The World’s Religions”. It’s a pretty high-level overview of all the major world religions including those of the countries you mentioned, and that’s very important background information to have. It’s also under $20 in paperback, which is a pretty good deal.
