We have a Cuisinart with a bean grinder. These last 3 - 4 years, but the failure mode is a leak in the water storage area, nothing mechanical. We use filtered water. Given how often my wife makes coffee, this has been perfectly acceptable to us.
Quoting myself for context:
They’re now $40. Gahh! But that’s still only about $4 per year of use.

Very “no frills” very basic.
Should last a while.
I second the Aeropress. Makes a great cup of coffee, very little waste. I’ve had mine for 4 years and more than 4,200 cups of coffee based on filter usage and it works as well today as the day I bought it for $30.00.
I like the Aeropress as well but I am a single guy who almost never has visitors so a cup at a time isn’t a problem for me. If the prospective buyer needs to have coffee for two or three people every day, perhaps a different brand would be a better choice.
Saying that, I expect to have a few visitors tomorrow and note that Aeropress has the capacity to make four cups at a time, something I have never attempted and am trying to decide whether I will tomorrow. We will see.
