Can anyone tell me of a good site for downloading classical music. The popular sites ( Limewire, Kaza etc.) seem to have mostly contemporary music. Thanks:confused:
Just a note here: While most classical music is now in the public domain, the arrangements and perfomances can be and usually are copyrighted as well. Unless the pieces that you’re interested in were recorded from old Edison wax cylinders, they’re probably still under copyright, and hence illegal to download unless the copyright holder decided to allow it.
It also has a variety of MIDI files, some of which are extremely well done. The disadvantage is that you may have to be a member in order to download the MP3 files. Just check it out.
