If in my nightmares I saw something surreal like blue spiders with teeth, that would actually be more comforting because it would be unrealistic and clue me in that it was a dream. But unfortunately my nightmare-spiders are usually the realistic kind, just bigger or more aggressive.
I’ve been having some old nightmares recently but always with a different twist. I’m told these are stress nightmares, which is fitting, as I am out of work and scared. But thankfully they are missing blue spiders with teeth. That might be too bad for me, Beck. I hope you got some good sleep in there.
Isn’t it amazing that your subconscious, which is, after all, merely a part of your brain, can come up with such horrifying visuals that it gives the rest of your brain the heebie-jeebies?
