A two year got smashed between 2 cars at a mall not far from my hometown, a woman and her baby were killed in a fire(arson)in my province a couple of weeks ago, a fire downtown a few weeks ago left a co-worker and several others homeless, my Mom has terminal cancer.
We are talking about a few kittens (if the story is even TRUE!) its really hard to muster up much sadness. I would be alot more upset if the dog had eaten a baby.
Poor kittens, yeah yeah yeah, how many kittens are put to sleep, drowned, or otherwise destroyed everyday? I cant feel bad for all of them… I just dont have enough in me to go around.

On Tuesday the local high school sent a girl home because was wearing sandles. On the way home, she was in a horrible accident and died instantly. You know what? There are tragedies like this everyday. You all need to get some perspective.
Dogs kill other animals. It’s a fact of life. I think it’s great that you have had dogs that have never once killed another animal. But I guess none of you can talk to me ever again. I had an old dog who loved to kill small animals, whether it be kittens or mice, or birds. I have no idea WHY she did this. I never starved her, she got fed good food twice a day. But the fact remains she would eat any small rodent-looking animal she could find. I guess that makes me evil. Are you going to boycott my posts now?
I’ve actually had more than one dog do this. I never thought it was anything extra-ordinary. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up on a farm, and dogs learn early on that rats and mice are plentiful, and so are cats.

I put bells on my cats so they can’t catch birds. I would not tolerate a dog that killed things. And don’t tell me it’s natural or instinctive. It’s instinct when they urine mark their territory, too, but I don’t allow it in my house.
I agree, it’s kittens, not infants. However, why are were the dogs in the same area as new kittens? Who was supposed to be taking care of them? It shows an appalling lack of good sense, and I’m sure she is paying plenty for help.
I for one was dead serious. The last time I watched Double Jeopardy, I almost smothered. Luckily, I was able to sop the sweat off my brow with a dead kitten.
