This is just too funny. This New York Times article describes the latest Polish tourism campaign using – that’s right – a “plumber” as their spokesman.
Well, sort of. The plumber is actually a model, and it’s something of a joke. See, in the recent election where the French voted down the European constitution, the naysayers used the spectre of “the Polish plumber coming to steal our jobs” to get out the No vote. And now Poland is using that same image to attract tourists.
Ain’t Europe great?
