The guy rivered a straigh flush to beat your quads. Ugly. Please tell me it was an outside straight at least. No bad beat jp, I take it. metroshane. I will play you heads up. Any game. You always act last. You won’t like the results.
The guys at the WSOP don’t complain about their seats because the botton always moves. I can assure you that they change their strategy depending on the button location. I have met a few people who have actually played in the WSOP.
Nope. The guy was holding 4c5c. I was in late position, it was checked to him, he bet his non-nut gutshot straight (with the board paired!). I just called, hoping to pick up some additional action behind. Everyone behind me folded, but a couple of people who checked called.
On the turn, it was checked to him, and he bet again. I raised, and he RE-RAISED me. I capped it, and he CALLED. Then of course, the six of clubs came on the river, and I lost to the straight flush. And the worst part of it was that this was a private poker club, and they didn’t have a bad-beat jackpot. So I got nothing. On another occasion in a casino I had quad fives and lost to a straight flush. The pot was about $200, but the bad-beat jackpot was $7250. So I was quite happy to lose that one.
